HR Open Announces New Executive Director, James Ireland

HR Open is excited to announce James Ireland to serve as the new Executive Director of HR Open. James joins the HR Open team from the Allegheny County Medical Society (ACMS) located in Pittsburgh, PA. He brings his nearly eighteen years of experience leading and building non-profit programs and services to the Consortium and looks forward to continuing the work to launch the HR Open Standards Foundation. James holds a B.S. in organizational leadership from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and is an active board member and previous President of the Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives as well as a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives.

At ACMS, James served as Vice President of Member Engagement and Digital Strategy. During his successful tenure at ACMS, he introduced data-driven strategies and tactical action plans to improve operational performance and delivered innovative member growth strategies increasing engagement of members in training by 75%, and active membership by 27%.

At HR Open, James will be responsible for board governance, financial performance and viability, and organization mission and strategy, as well as general organization operations. “We are pleased to have James join the HR Open team, he brings with him a wealth of experience in association management and working with non-profits”, says Leslie Erwin, President of HR Open Standards Board of Directors. “Jim is coming in at such an exciting time for us as we continue to advance the HR Open Standards mission and also launch the new HR Open Foundation. His expertise will be such an asset to HR Open as we expand our services and provide greater opportunities to our community.”
