HR Open Standards Recruiting Courses
The following courses will provide information to help you learn about HR Open Standards Consortium's HR-XML Recruiting Standards.
XML Basics, Common Components, and OAGIS Business Documents are general training courses that are useful for all HR-XML specifications. In addition to these three general courses, a Recruiting specific course is available for download.
XML Basics (21:05)
This course discusses the history and structure of DTD and Schema. It delves into the data types, shows how to use imports and exports, explains name spaces, and when to use global and local components. The course also describes the different coding methods and covers common validation errors. Test your XML knowledge. If you successfully complete the pre-quiz, we recommend moving to the HR-XML Common Components course.
HR-XML Common Components (20:22)
Once you feel comfortable with the XML Basics, find out how much you know with the HR-XML Common Components prequiz. This course reviews the scope and deliverables of the HR-XML standards. It includes discussion of the 3.X architecture and focuses in detail on common HR-XML data types. XML declarations are also explained.
OAGIS Business Documents (20:39)
This course covers the Open Applications Group Business Object Documents (or BODs). It describes the BOD verbs, including when and how to use them. BOD and Noun ID usage is explained as well as Data Methodology. Pretest your knowledge of OAGIS BODs.
HR-XML Recruiting Specification Course (24:01)
This course covers the HR-XML 3.X Position Opening, Candidate and Search Document schemas. It provides element and attribute usage details as well as examples for a variety of business cases.
