Hirease’s Tetra web service
implements the HR Open Standards Consortium’s ScreeningOrder.xsd and ScreeningReport.xsd
with no extensions. The web service
utilizes SOAP 1.1 and 1.2 as default transport protocols. Alternatively, the service also accepts
XML messages without a SOAP envelope. All transmissions must be encrypted
through the use of 128 bit HTTPS encryption. The service requires
authentication through the use of account credentials supplied by Hirease
during the implementation process.
Tetra Web service allows our clients and partners to automate the background
screening process by transmitting HR-XML ScreeningOrder request
messages to us. Depending on client needs and configuration, the ScreeningOrder request may contain all necessary data
to initiate an order, or Hirease’s system may automatically append the order to
include additional components, such as criminal searches in locations based on
a Social Security Trace. Alternatively, the data can be stored in a
"draft" format that allows the user to modify the background check
order through Hirease’s web-based application.
Upon completion of a ScreeningOrder
check report, the Tetra web service returns HR-XML compliant ScreeningReports
to our client/partner's Web Service. ScreeningReports may contain all data
elements or only summary results based on client specifications.
The Tetra web service also includes the
flexibility to receive requests and send reports in non-HR-XML and other
proprietary XML message formats. The Tetra web service is written in C# and implemented
using Microsoft®.NET 4.0 running on the IIS platform.
