Use of specification:

CEB's SHL On Demand system implements the HR Open Standards Consortium's Assessment xsd's in registering candidates, requesting reports, returning reports, scores and statuses to enable partners to integrate SHL assessments and reporting services into their ATS, HRMS and HCMS systems. SHL On Demand implements the HR Open Standards Consortium's AssessmentOrderRequest.xsd, AssessmentOrderAcknowledgement.xsd, and AssessmentResult.xsd over WSI (all with userarea extensions). 

Partners call an interface to register a candidate for a pre-defined assessment package using AssessmentOrderRequest.xsd. After validation, SHL responds with an AssessmentOrderAcknowledgement including the URL to access the assessment. 

On completion of the assessment SHL returns scores to an interface on the partner system using AssessmentResult.xsd. If required, report documents (in word or pdf) are returned to the same interface using AssessmentResult.xsd either as embedded binary or as URL. 

Partners can opt to receive updates of the candidate's progress as status messages. These are returned to the scores/reports interface on the partner system using AssessmentResult.xsd. 

In most cases, use of the userarea extension is required.
