A group of industry participants including salary survey,
compensation technology and Human Capital Management software vendors are
interested in developing standards that will facilitate efficient and secure
communication between employers, service providers, and affiliated business
processes such as salary surveys.
Standards would allow employers and service providers greater ability to
streamline the survey participation and analyses processes, as well as enable
better collaboration between related human resource systems and practices,
ultimately providing better value and security from salary surveys
The HR Open Standards Salary/Compensation Survey standard should assist
in streamlining the communication through the following:
- Allow for quick
connectivity between survey vendors, survey participants and affiliated
business partners such as HRIS/ERP and compensation management software
companies with reduced IT efforts
turnaround time for submission of survey participation data due to seamless
communications between parties
- Reduce data
entry errors by eliminating manual intervention
security of HR information transmitted

costs associated with manual data capture, transcription, transmission, and
